Yushu Xie is a qualified construction lawyer with extensive experience advising sponsors, lenders, contractors and public authorities on some of the most significant infrastructure projects in Australia and the Asia-Pacific.
Her experience spans the full project lifecycle — procurement strategy and bid leadership, contract drafting and negotiation, integration and resequencing of complex alliance works, claims management and dispute resolution, and settlement of high-value commercial matters. She has worked across rail, hospitals, convention infrastructure, offshore wind, LNG and smart-city PPPs.
Experience
- Leading the commercial and legal strategy for a bidding consortium for the Dubai Smart Street Lighting PPP
- Managing commercial and legal matters on the $2.4 billion High Capacity Metro Trains Project, the $1.5 billion New Footscray Hospital, and the $449 million Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Exhibition Centre
- Advising Suburban Rail Loop Authority on the tender of the tunnelling packages for the $30 billion Suburban Rail Loop project
- Leading the integration and resequencing of the Rail Infrastructure Alliance and the Rail Systems Alliance for the $15.5 billion Melbourne Metro Tunnel project
- Advising Copenhagen Offshore Partners on the development of offshore wind farms in Taiwan, including the 298MW Zhong Neng wind farm, the 589MW Changfang & Xidao wind farm and the 1.8GW Fengmiao wind farm
- Advising INPEX regarding disputes regarding the offshore facilities for the Ichthys LNG project off the coast of Western Australia
